How to reach the entrance of the Tower of the Sun Museum
(via the Central (Main) Gate)
- This is how you can reach the entrance of the Tower of the Sun Museum from the gate of Expo '70 Commemorative Park ("Bampaku-kinen-koen"). To see how to access Expo '70 Commemorative Park from the train station, please see here.
• Exit the ticket gates of "Bampaku-kinen-koen" Station,
and then go down a slope located on your left-hand side.
• Once you have gone down the slope, you will see the Central Bridge (Chuo-bashi) on your left-hand side.
• Cross the Central Bridge (Chuo-bashi), and enter Expo '70 Commemorative Park ("Bampaku-kinen-koen") via the Park's Central Gate.
• Once you have passed through the Central Gate, you will see the Tower of the Sun Museum right in front of you.
• The entrance to the Tower of the Sun Museum is located behind the Tower, so go around the Tower of the Sun Museum (either clockwise or counterclockwise) to reach its back side.
• Behind the Tower, you will see a stairway that goes underground; situated at the end of this stairway is the entrance to the Tower of the Sun Museum.
How to reach the entrance of the Tower of the Sun Museum
(If you are visiting with a large group and coming from the Nihonteien-mae Parking Lot:)
• Once you get off at the Nihonteien-mae Parking Lot, on the south side of the parking lot, you will see the back side of the Tower of the Sun Museum right in front of you. If you head straight south from there, you will reach the stairway that goes underground. The entrance to the Tower of the Sun Museum is located at the end of the stairway.
